Everyone has anxiety, some only to the bare minimum. Anxiety affects everyone differently. Some people can go about their business itch their anxiety but handle without to much fuss. Other can struggle with it to the extent of panic attacks.
I'm not an expert on anxiety even though it is something I deal with daily. It causes different problems for different people, it could amplify your fears and make everything harder than it really is but it's still real to you.
The only way I could describe anxiety would be by personal experience, so I'll give it my best shot.
It can be simple butterflies in your stomach and worrying about something or it could be making you touchy and easily upset or stressed. It can make it hard to breathe when your having a panic attack and you won't be able to think straight during the situation. You might feel smothered like the walls are closing in especially in large crowds and groups of people.
My advice, again, could only be from my personal experiences.
1. Fresh Air - Sounds simple I know but just being able to breathe fresh air can help.
2. Look up - I find that looking upset the sky helps when I'm in large crowds. The sky is open and it helps you to not feel as trapped.
3. Breathing - When your panicking or anxious you breathing speeds up. More air might sound good but it's not, you need to keep your oxygen intake as normal as possible. I tend to breathe in for 5 and out for 5.
4. Talk - Talk to someone, if you know before hand that something might make you anxious talk to someone. Take a friend. Or a family member with you so if you do get anxious they're there for support.
