How to explain it? It's basically like a camp I guess. I'll do my best to explain but I haven't been yet. Anyway, we're going as a school. We all have rooms (I get my own 😉) During the day you go off and do activities like rock climbing and archery or simpler things like trust exercises and walks. I'll get to my opinion on those activities in a moment...but I'll be doing two days and one night. I wanted to give you guys the heads up since I will be blogging about this trip.
Now for my thoughts on all this madness...
Rock climbing: Not to keen as I'm not a fan of heights...
Archery: Definitely excited for this as I've always liked archery since I did it when I was younger. (You're probably thinking "She's 15, how old was she when they gave her a bow and arrow?" I was around 8... Yes, Yes, not the best move for my school to give a 8 year old a bow and quiver but hey, YOLO and all that.)
Trust exercises: Can we get a "Oh hades no" ? No? Okay fine... but nope, no way will I be participating in any trust exercises. I don't have an ounce of faith in my class mates as they're all, how to put this nicely...not very nice people.
Walking: Another definitely, I've always loved to walk, I can't remember ever passing up the opportunity to go for a walk when it came up. I'm that weird person that will go for a walk when it's raining because I'm also a fan of the rain. (Yes I know, I'm weird, tell me something I don't know.)
Now if you don't already think I'm weird then prepare to change your mind... I've never been on a trip with the school the required and over night stay. My anxiety has never been low enough and I've always avoided the situations and just stayed at school, so for me this is a very anxious situation so I'm looking forward to blogging this experience. I also have my complete nut case of a best friend on speed dial, I'll use her nickname when she appears on my blog. I don't think it will be a one time thing 😉 but her nickname is Cookie.
I'll post about what I'm taking and obviously I'll keep you updated on my anxiety and any tips and tricks I learn to handle it. Hopefully I'll post while I'm there and upload some pictures.
